Toyota’s tiny sports car could be priced competitively between $16,500 and $21,000.

Midway through 2021’s December, Toyota unveiled a little concept car as a miniature electric sports car.
Speculation quickly arose that the Japanese automaker was working on a replacement for the MR2, despite the fact that no specifics about the sports vehicle had been made public.
The concept car supposedly included a detachable Targa top and huge air vents, along with reduced overhangs and lots of carbon fiber.
The latest sources claim that Toyota is still thinking about releasing the compact sports vehicle. There have been rumors for a few years now that Toyota, Suzuki, and Daihatsu are working together on a compact sports car.
According to reports, the tiny Toyota sports car would be driven by a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged engine, capable of roughly 120 BHP and 200 Nm. A mild-hybrid system will be standard on the sports vehicle, giving it a slight performance boost while also reducing emissions and boosting fuel economy.
The compact sports car will be 4,200 millimeters in length, 1,720 millimeters in width, and 1,220 millimeters in height, and will weigh only 1000 kilograms. It had a 2,550-mm wheelbase.
The next Toyota compact sports car will be inspired by the Daihatsu Copen in terms of exterior styling and will use the front suspension arrangement from the current-generation Yaris. The sports car will be built with a rigid two-seater layout.
Toyota’s little sports car might sell for a reasonable $16,500 to $21,000 in the United States. The exact date of its release is unknown at this moment.
